1 - At 13am, we aim to celebrate and showcase a broad range of creative roles, disciplines and skillsets. How would you describe yourself and your role within the creative world to those unfamiliar with your work?

I’m a Berlin artist who explores the intersection of painting and sculpture.

2 - Another aspect that sets 13am apart is our commitment to diversity and representation among our artists. Could you share a bit about your background and where you call home?

My background is half Greek, half German, and I was born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany. For more than 10 years now, I have called Berlin my home.

3 - How would you define your artistic style? Has it evolved or undergone any changes over time?

My artistic style is fluid, evolving over time. Generally, I would describe it as graphical, bold, and handmade.

4 - Can you walk us through your creative process? How do you transform an idea into a tangible piece of work?

I begin with sketches or drawings to conceptualize ideas before translating them into paintings or sculptures. Sketching is essential for me. Maintaining creativity is like exercising a muscle—it requires consistent practice and nurturing. Embrace curiosity, continue learning new things, experiment, and surround yourself with inspiration.

5 - In terms of inspiration, where do you go to find this? Who were your main influencers and inspirations as you were growing up?

My creative process begins with introspection and observation, followed by sketching and experimentation until the idea takes shape. My main influences while growing up were probably cartoons and comics, and essentially, I have maintained that influence to this day.

6 - What advice would you offer aspiring artists looking to establish themselves in the industry?

My advice to aspiring artists is to enjoy what you do, persist through challenges, and constantly try new things.

7 - Creative roadblocks affect many individuals in our field. How do you unwind and revitalize your creative energy? Are there any hobbies or passions you pursue outside of your work?

Taking breaks is always a good idea—reading, walking, cooking. But as mentioned, maintaining creativity is like exercising a muscle; sometimes you just have to push through and overcome the blockage.

8 - Reflecting on your career, could you share a standout project or collaboration that you consider a highlight? How did the opportunity come about?

I’m very grateful to have been recently invited by E03 Gallery to my very first solo exhibition in Beijing, China. The opportunity to share my work with a new audience in such a vibrant and culturally rich city was truly compelling. The exhibition included sculptures, paintings, and animation. I’m excited to see how my art resonates with the people.

9 - Can you provide a little insight into your current projects and any upcoming plans you have in the pipeline? Is there anything we should be looking out for in the not too distant future?

My exhibition in Beijing just opened, which was a huge achievement for me. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to talk about other things yet.

10 - What has your experience been like collaborating with 13am thus far, and what motivated you to join forces with us?

Collaborating with 13am has been inspiring; it’s very nice to be in such good company, surrounded by many diverse and creative artists.

11 - Looking ahead, what would be your dream project or client to tackle in the future?

I’m open to everything that arises. However, more large-scale public installations and murals would definitely be nice.
