Born and raised in Stollberg in the German Erzgebirge, Grit’s professional development in architecture and geo-business led her to various locations across Germany. In 2009, she moved to Switzerland and has since been living and working in Zurich, where she completed her CAS in Photography. Grit is fascinated by foreign cultures and has always carried a curiosity for emerging herself into new worlds, experiencing different people and mentalities. Her travels have taken her to various regions of the world, where she senses experiences and encounters with her eyes and heart. Often, it is the simple and brief moments that touch her the most, moments she strives to capture and hold on to. These moments are full of energy and power, focusing her view as their essence surfaces.
This minimalism has been a long-standing inspiration for Grit, leading her towards more conscious consumption in her private life and positively influencing her photography. She found in photography a medium that supports her in giving her view on things a clear visual language.
