Edwin Garay is a Nicaraguan illustrator and designer whose work is deeply rooted in storytelling and cultural expression. Born in Managua, his passion for drawing began in childhood and later evolved into a love for design and illustration during his studies. Since 2014, Edwin has worked across various design fields, refining his craft and developing a distinctive artistic voice.
His work has explored themes of history, identity, and social impact, most notably through his contributions to Comic Libertad (2016–2017), a project that depicted the struggles of Nicaragua’s indigenous people. In 2022, he was selected to exhibit his illustrations at an event hosted by the Cultural Center of Spain in Nicaragua (CCEN), commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women—using his art as a tool for awareness and advocacy.
Now working as a freelance illustrator, Edwin shares his work across social platforms, using digital art to bring narratives to life. His illustrations capture both personal and collective stories, blending history, activism, and creativity into compelling visual compositions.
