Alberto Casagrande is a multi award winning illustrator based in Milan. The Italian mainly works in the editorial sphere and advertising. Inspired by futurism, constructivism and mid-century modern, his illustrations are made of sharp shapes and harmonious curves, expressive letterforms, solid colors, clear-cut shadows, stripped-down palettes, whilst overlays and negative space are allies he often relies on.
Pop futurism meets funky surrealism in the Milanese illustrator’s work. A style further influenced by surrealism and modernist design. Alberto plys his trade in editorial, advertising, books, magazines, physical objects, digital media, small spaces and large canvas. With interest coming from the intersection between the surreal and the ordinary, mixing this worldview with a playful attitude that defines his illustration style.
